The spotlight is on you!
Hello conference people! We've got some fun updates to share with you today, but first a little visit with our MCs for the week, Mark Thrash and Christiana Rice...
One of the fun parts of conference is the opportunity to meet and get to know other staff and ministry contexts that you might not have discovered otherwise.
At conference this year, we'll be creating an area just outside the main auditorium where individuals and teams can host a table to offer art, craft items, clothing, and whatever else you can dream up to share with the rest of us. Is there a photographer on your team who is telling the story of your community? Someone in your neighborhood who makes art that represents your city? Have you written a great book? Maybe you've got a project to support that could be funded by selling a few t-shirts to conference attendees? Whatever it is, we'd like to help you share it with everyone! Let us know what you'd like to do by sending an email by July 20 to email@example.com.
OPEN MIC NIGHT
We know there's a lot of talent out there with this crowd. We've got writers, poets, actors, musicians, and singers. There are dancers and comedians and painters (as well as a few other skills that we can't quite categorize!) This year at conference we'd like to set aside a little time to showcase these gifts. On Wednesday night, we'll turn on the stage lights in Lambdin Hall, power up the sound system, and let the show begin.
Are you interested in sharing your "act" with the rest of us? We'd love to hear from you. Send a note by July 20 to firstname.lastname@example.org with a short description of what you'd like to do. We'll try to fit as many into the evening as possible.
That's it for this one! Coming soon we'll have a big email with all the Wednesday excursions and fun options for the week. If you have any questions or comments, please feel free to write us at email@example.com.
Until next time,
- The Ridgecrest 2018 Planning Team
